In the Telephone Engineer line of work every job is different in some way, be it location or client or even the task itself, but this one was really different. 600m+ of cable install through a disused railway tunnel near Bristol. It was very dark and cold and full of bats!
In short BT had refused to replace despite the presence of faults, their argument being that the customer has broadband and a dial tone which satisfied the contract. However my customer felt that they had experienced a serious enough impact on their broadband speed (losing more than 80% of their usual rate) to warrant calling an Independent Telephone Engineer in Bath. Its nice to be able to provide the solution for this customer.
